Dear Artists January 2026
Amidst global turmoil in 2025 I found refuge in the fact that artists operate in a space defined by beauty, creativity, and connection. Our work serves as both a mirror to the world and its antidote; the very act of creation becomes a form of protest in times of destruction.
“Dualistic thinking is ‘this or that’ thinking, divisive and selective.
Thinking in 3D has no preconditioned goal, but myriads of possible combinations within and without, always forming and re-forming, guided rather by curiosity, imagination, creativity, love, compassion and empathy. Our tiny spinning spec of a world is shuddering and shaking the earth on which we have built layers of edifices, cultures and hopes. So fragile and tentative the ideas and ideals that hold us together and throw us apart. We lose sight of the whole. We create spheres within spheres, both real and virtual, merely to construct the same systems in another form.
We need to start again, laying different foundations guided by values that protect and treasure all life.”
